Care while your child is in the hospital
Your hospitalist starts by listening to you and your child. Your child’s care plan is personalized to their needs, addressing the whole child – both physical and emotional health – while they are in the hospital. The hospitalist collaborates with your child’s specialists and keeps their pediatrician informed through medical records and discharge summaries. We make sure your child is receiving the right care and connects your family to resources in the hospital – such as imaging and labs, child life specialists, social workers and more.
Helping transition your child’s care to home
When your child is released from hospital care, their hospital medicine care team helps transition their care. Your child’s hospitalist shares health records with their pediatrician. We also connect you with other pediatric specialists at Studer Family Children’s Hospital for ongoing follow-up and specialty care. And we work with you to make sure you have all the information you need to care for your child at home.
